Open Graph checker questions

What does this Open Graph checker do?

Enter a public HTTP or HTTPS URL. Ogserve fetches the published HTML, extracts Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, and creates illustrative Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Discord previews. No account is required.

Are these the exact previews that users will see?

They are approximations based on one HTML response. Social apps can cache older metadata, crop images differently, apply their own rules, or fetch a different response. Confirm important links in the destination app.

Why are my meta tags missing?

The tool reads the HTML returned by the server and does not execute website JavaScript. Tags added only in the browser, login-protected pages, blocked crawlers and incorrect redirects can all affect what is found.

Does Open Graph improve Google rankings?

Open Graph describes social sharing presentation. It is not a substitute for useful content, crawlable pages, descriptive titles or other search fundamentals. Use the checker to improve how your links are presented, rather than treating its output as a ranking score.
