inspect_url
Fetch a public page’s HTML, inspect its metadata and compare illustrative Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Discord previews.
Ogserve MCP · Public beta
Inspect a page’s Open Graph tags, compare five social previews, and improve your metadata with Codex, Claude or Cursor.
https://api.ogserve.com/mcpNo signup or API key. Connect from your agent’s MCP settings.
Get connected
Connect the server for the tools, then add the skill for a guided workflow.
Add Ogserve with the Codex CLI. The connection is shared with the Codex app and IDE extension.
codex mcp add ogserve --url https://api.ogserve.com/mcpOpen a new session in your project. You can check the connection with codex mcp list.
Official Codex MCP guideUnzip the download and copy the open-graph folder into your project at:
.agents/skills/open-graph/Keep SKILL.md directly inside that folder, with its references and agents folders alongside it.
Reopen your session, then use $open-graph or ask naturally to inspect a link.
Run this from your project directory. Claude Code adds the server to the project’s .mcp.json.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope project ogserve https://api.ogserve.com/mcpApprove the project connection if prompted, then check /mcp in a new Claude Code session.
Official Claude Code MCP guideUnzip the download and copy the open-graph folder into your project at:
.claude/skills/open-graph/Keep SKILL.md directly inside that folder, with its references and agents folders alongside it.
Reopen your session, then use /open-graph or ask naturally to inspect a link.
Add this server entry to .cursor/mcp.json in your project. Keep any other servers already in the file.

Reopen your session, then use /open-graph or ask naturally to inspect a link.
Use Open Graph to inspect https://ogserve.com/tools/open-graph-checker. Compare all five social previews, suggest clearer sharing metadata, and preview the changes without updating the website.
Fetch a public page’s HTML, inspect its metadata and compare illustrative Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Discord previews.
Compare proposed metadata across all five platforms before making changes. Previewing a candidate does not update your website.
That is expected. A browser opens the URL with GET; MCP clients connect using POST. Add the endpoint to your agent rather than opening it as a webpage.
The two public tools inspect and simulate metadata. They do not save overrides, generate images, publish changes or access private workspaces. Your agent can make requested code changes using its normal project tools. No Ogserve account is required for these public tools.
They are illustrative simulations, not screenshots or social-network cache checks. This release reads returned HTML without running JavaScript and does not check image reachability or measure image pixels.
The instructions above are for Claude Code. Claude Desktop uses its connector and skill settings: add the remote MCP connector where supported, then upload the skill ZIP. Availability depends on your client and account.
